STUART

The 'Stuart' brand was introduced in NZ in 1938.

'Stuart' branded equipment was manufactured by Hamer Electrical Ltd, they were distributed by Hamer Electrical Ltd. Currently there are 2 documented models.

Stuart radios were sold in Christchurch at Hamer Electrical Ltd, which was started in 1938 by Harry Hamer (of Gough, Gough and Hamer) and Gordon Douglas Stuart.

The Press, 9th July, 1938

They were probably made in-house although the mounting for one dial sighted looks a little like a Radio (1936) Ltd. one of the correct era.  However the escutcheon and dial artwork shape itself looks a little Turnbull & Jones.
