SKIPPER 10 MODEL 5D5 'COLT' (1956)

The Skipper 10 model 5D5 was manufactured by Electronic Navigation Ltd in 1956, it was in production for 3 years.

Other radios based on the same chassis:

5 valve dual-wave marine band radio

Covers the AM broadcast band and the marine 2MHz and 4MHz HF bands (roughly 1.5 - 4.5Mhz)

It appears that this model might have been made in small numbers over a range of years and might well have had different chassis used over that time.  The dial indicates it was, at least originally, designed to take the 5D5 chassis used in the Bell Mercury - albeit with a reduced SW band to suit marine use.  Later models quite probably had a 5W7 Explorer chassis although so few have been seen this can not be confirmed.

The valve lineup from the sighted example seems to include some 40-series valves - while the schematic indicates all 80-series.  This might be an early example of the model.
