Bare chassis' that appear to be identical to this model were seen for sale for home builders from several companies such as Fears and Radio Supply Co. (Wgtn) - the following image is from an advert in R&E June 1947.

General Construction Notes for Westco Products Ltd:

Often the model number will be stamped into the metalwork in the back, in front of the serial number - ie: if you find 126 3454 then its probably a model 126.  This is not always the case, but its pretty common.  Often a different number stamp will be used as well, so the model code and the serial number will be in different 'fonts'.  Here are a couple of examples:
