The Fitzgerald 1933 BC was manufactured by Fitzgerald Radio Service in about 1933.

A very rare 5-valve broadcast band console from Fitzgerald Radio Service of 39 Woodham Rd, Christchurch.

It was possibly based on a kitset and a commercially available cabinet.  The escutcheon appears to be hand engraved suggesting the set was made in minimal quantities.

The chassis looks very similar to the Viking model here, and it's likely a kitset from their manufacturer - The NZ Radio Manufacturing Co, Ltd. which was also based in Christchurch.
